Knicks Storm Back to Beat Wizards, 103-100

How It Happened

The Knicks trailed Washington by seven points entering the 4th quarter, but rather than dismiss the final outcome as a meaningless preseason game, Derek Fisher's squad turned up the heat. Led by Carmelo Anthony's 30 points in 34 minutes, New York fought back and battled the Wizards down the stretch.

Melo's and-1 jumper from the left elbow with 14 seconds left gave the Knicks a 103-100 lead. On the last possession, they locked down on defense and forced an errant 3 from the top of the key to seal the win.

New York evened it's preseason record at 3-3 with the home victory. Tim Hardaway Jr., making the start as Fisher continues to play with different lineup combinations, pumped in 12 points in 17 minutes, while Amar'e Stoudemire had another efficient performance: 13 points on eight shots, and eight rebounds.

Knick of the Night

Anthony appears to be in regular season form after playing big minutes and turning in a complete performance. He needed only 19 shots to get his 30 points, and added three assists, rebounds and steals to his total.

Jose Calderon (calf) and Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) did not play tonight.
